On 17 May 2026, South Garda Bike Region opens its season with the first ever Opening Ride \u2014 a free group ride through the vineyards, morainic hills and countryside of Castelnuovo del Garda.<\/p>\n

It is a simple idea: get on your bike, ride together through one of the most beautiful cycling territories in northern Italy, stop twice along the way, and finish with good food and good company. No race, no ranking, no pressure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

\n\t\n\t\t\tThe route \u2014 or rather, the routes<\/strong>\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

For the Opening Ride we have two options, both following the iconic Graspo del Moro trail.<\/p>\n

The 37 km full loop is the main route \u2014 a varied mix of gravel tracks, open countryside and quiet rural roads that gives you the full character of the South Garda landscape. There are climbs, there are views, there are vineyards as far as you can see.<\/p>\n

The 22 km family loop covers the most scenic part of the territory at a more relaxed distance \u2014 perfect for families, e-bikes and anyone who wants a beautiful morning on the bike without committing to a full day in the saddle.<\/p>\n

Both routes are open to gravel bikes, MTB and e-bikes. And if you are new to the area or simply prefer to ride with company, guided groups will be available on the day for both distances.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

One of the things we believe in at South Garda Bike Region is that the best rides always include a reason to stop. On 17 May there will be two free refreshment stops along both routes \u2014 a moment to take a breath, look at the landscape around you and refuel before the final stretch.<\/p>\n

At the finish, food trucks with local food and drink will be waiting. A relaxed moment to close the day together, share stories from the ride and enjoy the territory one last time before heading home.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
